Welding & Joining

Building a career to build a County. Welding and Joining Technology helps to build cars, computers, and coffee pots, most products of modern society. Build your career to help with rewarding work as a Welder, Fabricator, Engineer, Inspector, Welding Technician, Joining Technician, Business owner, or Sales and Service Representative.

In the future the best jobs will go to those people who best prepare themselves in Trade schools, Community College, or four years at a University. Starting wages for a trained welder is roughly three to five times minimum wage depending upon location and skill levels. This can go higher than ten times minimum wage in some cases. Welding Engineers with four-year degrees earn attractive salaries.

All of these career opportunities are open to woman and men a like. The Welding and Joining curriculum is designated to provide the student with entry-level job skills in either welding or light fabrication. The correct use of tools and equipment along with the proper work techniques involved in welding trades is stressed in the first year course.
